October Faves!

Big Birthday Bash

The top of the cake was made specially for Amelia. It is made from banana and has no sugar or eggs in it. And the bottom and cupcakes are apple and cinnamon. The lady who made the cake is kind of a baking goddess. She sure knows what she's doing. 

Amelia didn't want to sit by herself not even a second, she demanded to be carried around ALL the time.

This right here almost melted my heart. Baby A took a nap before the party started... She looked so peaceful and calm.

 I kind of went with it and the result was a lot of things that didn't get photographed such as:

-Pink lemonade (Made by me and may I say it was a HUGE hit)

- Mini hamburguers and

- Yummi chocolate covered bananas with cherries.

Pretty Faces

Baby A is showing off her pretty teeth everywhere and at every moment, she is such a happy child.

Here are this past week's highlights:

• I went back to school and about 70% of my first week's classes got cancelled so I got to stay at home with my baby and I'm not exactly complaining about it.
• Finding THIS treasure and trying out some of it's goodness with boyfriend for dinner when he got home from work.
• Amelia is all better now. Last week she had a bad case of Le poop. We think it's from teething.
• Planning her first birthday.  (I'm all over it since last month and it's still 2 months away) Hey! It's never to early to plan, baby's frist birthday, weddings, and all those fun stuff, I always say.
• Skipping doctor's appointment due to bad weather and instead a whole lot of cuddling.
• Getting this pretty elephant as a gift.

Over the las couple of weeks we...

Enjoyed happy meals as a family. Actually eating our food (Baby A included).

Spend hot lazy days in bed watching cartoons and singing.

Got into an accident. (Not really. Baby A got mad and scratched herself. What is it with her temper lately?)

Slept in.

Went on long (and short) walks as a family. Having daddy here for good is the best!!!!

Hung out with friends and family.

Went out on the occasional sunny day and play with baby and out toy cameras.

Got our first 2 teeth and enjoyed eating rice.

Wore silly clothes just to make each other smile.

Made new friends!

Letters to Amelia: I'm a mommy.

Dear baby:
Today we went out for brunch with grandma and grandpa to celebrate mother's day, but I could not get to actually eating my food but instead i just sat there looking at you. You are the reason why we were there in the first place. YOU made me a mommy.
I would have never imagined being a mommy so young but man oh man am I glad I am. Every day i'm  proud of you and of everything you brought along my way. You gave us a small little family to treasure and love for the rest of our days. You showed us how important it is to stick together no matter what and to be there for each other when we need it. We are a team now and we love it.
Thank you for teaching me how to be gentle and delicate again, and to forget about selfishness and help me focus on the important things. I love spending every second with you. I love you for turning me into a mother, a proud one.

Party

Yesterday was a success. Amelia got invited to her first birthday party. It was her cousin's party. He turned 7. The party was great but baby A stole the show.

Everyone had they star wars costume on but I think this little guy didn't got that memo. Here is something I never thought I'd see. Batman holding a light-saber. He is also hiding from me because I chased him down a good 15 minutes trying to get a picture of him. I think I might have freaked him out because at the end whenever he saw me he would just ran away.

At was just a good day.
